Rice husk pellets

Our company, Mekong Corporation Europe, is collaborating with a cooperation of 12 companies to produce Rice Husk Pellets to be used as solid mass bio fuel.

We are capable of providing 20.000 MT per month, and our goal is to be able to supply 65.000 MT per month of Rice Husk Pellets in 2016.

No Deforestation
It is important to note that all production of Rice Husk Pellets is done through existing rice fields, no deforestation is being conducted, reducing the impact on the environment.

Lean carbon fuel
Since Rice Husk Pellets is a lean carbon fuel, the CO2 that is emitted gets re-absorbed by the rice plants that is grown 3 times a year, every year - much faster than trees for instance. Because regrowth of the rice crops recaptures and stores the carbon that is emitted to the air, Rice Husk Pellets can be considered a low-impact fuel.

Waste management
Rice Husk Pellet
s are made of agricultural waste, the waste product upon burning this solid mass Bio Fuel, namely the ash and fly ash, can be used in various industries, reducing further the impact on the environment.

Sustainable - security of supply
Rice Husk Pellets as a solid mass Bio Fuel, is truely sustainable, because the source material - rice - is grown 3 times a year, contributing to security of supply.
